There are inspectors that represent themselves as builders, plumbers, design professional, construction managers and engineers. We have always recognized a conflict in allowing an inspector to “contract” on the side and forbid our inspectors from doing so. An applicant should not have to worry about bidding against an inspector on a job.

If imitation is the best form of flattery, BIU of PA should feel very flattered. We recognize our role as leaders in our industry. Our forms, fee schedules and hand-outs are repeatedly copied. But what cannot be copied is the experience that comes from over 50 years in the code enforcement business. Our in-house counsel will work with your municipal solicitor on code enforcement action when requested. Code enforcement is not just plan review and inspections; it includes knowing the law and knowing how to enforce it.

Our goal is simple; to work with the permit applicant whether they are a homeowner or seasoned contractor. We recognize the need for fast turn-around of both plan review and field inspections. The state’s mandate for inspections should not slow construction and we will work with you to meet your deadlines.
